File and processing
PNG, 2890 × 2090 pixels, prepared from the retained 2744 × 3955 pixel JPEG rendering of the complete source page. The entire engraving, monogram, printed title, artist's credit and explanatory note beneath it are preserved.
The page image was turned 90 degrees clockwise by an exact pixel permutation, then aligned 0.30 degrees counterclockwise with one bicubic resampling. The expanded aligned image was cropped to (480, 320)–(3370, 2410), right and bottom bounds exclusive. The crop lies entirely within the original image; no added canvas is included. The original sideways running header is outside the crop and remains available on the complete source page.
No enlargement, colour or tonal correction, sharpening, retouching or reconstruction was applied. This is a monochrome source scan, not a scan retaining the natural colour of the paper. Full-page JPEG SHA-256: 52258606e53e721f04061e67a0af3679d5229f8559c4c2c7e77ff32b0fc73e50.
