- Library record 30421.
- Complete source PDF, file 30422.pdf, 83 pages. Printed p. 15 is PDF page 13; the journal title page is PDF page 3. These mappings were checked against the printed headers individually.
The original title page establishes the title, volume and issue numbering used here. The catalogue's issue value 7 denotes the July calendar issue and is not substituted for the printed no. 1. Retained PDF: 173714763 bytes, SHA-256 c5eee17e476c1a0bad03e1b95a6ebc602679e23c20d829452dc720d7dc37358c.
Thank you to the University of Akron and the Cummings Center for preserving this historical issue and making the colour scan freely available.
File and processing
PNG, 507 × 612 pixels, RGB, retaining the natural paper colour, marks and show-through. The original embedded JPEG stream on PDF page 13 was extracted unchanged: 1824 × 2876 pixels, 2146345 bytes, SHA-256 ba4ad7d03f6d33155a552e76a5bb50f337f6e56ea7162f1058922b728b28f409.
The complete figure and its printed caption were cropped from source coordinates (1000, 1040)–(1515, 1660), then aligned 0.17 degrees clockwise with one bicubic resampling. The expanded crop (517 × 622 pixels) was trimmed to (5, 5)–(512, 617). A source-area mask confirms that all output pixels lie within the source image; no added canvas is included. Right and bottom bounds are exclusive. Adjacent prose is excluded and remains accessible in the complete source PDF.
The source PDF's sRGB IEC61966-2.1 colour profile is embedded in the PNG without converting pixel values. No enlargement, colour or tonal correction, sharpening, retouching or reconstruction was applied.
Rights
