Source

Colour scan made freely available by the University of Akron, Drs. Nicholas and Dorothy Cummings Center for the History of Psychology, Ludy T. Benjamin, Jr. Popular Psychology Magazine Collection. The catalogue identifies its source as the Ludy T. Benjamin, Jr. papers; a more specific physical-copy shelfmark is not stated.

The original title page establishes the title, volume and issue numbering used here. The catalogue's issue value 7 denotes the July calendar issue and is not substituted for the printed no. 1. Retained PDF: 173714763 bytes, SHA-256 c5eee17e476c1a0bad03e1b95a6ebc602679e23c20d829452dc720d7dc37358c.

Thank you to the University of Akron and the Cummings Center for preserving this historical issue and making the colour scan freely available.

File and processing

PNG, 605 × 580 pixels, RGB, retaining the natural paper colour, marks and show-through. The original embedded JPEG stream on PDF page 11 was extracted unchanged: 1830 × 2892 pixels, 2076187 bytes, SHA-256 1ec0f0f2d003140ba6e9caffab304fb2d869f960fc5b4152ad6ac2504d84b23f.

The complete figure and its printed caption were cropped from source coordinates (980, 550)–(1585, 1130), and checked for alignment. The caption baseline is already level to within 0.01 degrees, so no rotation or resampling was applied. Right and bottom bounds are exclusive. Adjacent prose is excluded and remains accessible in the complete source PDF.

The source PDF's sRGB IEC61966-2.1 colour profile is embedded in the PNG without converting pixel values. No enlargement, colour or tonal correction, sharpening, retouching or reconstruction was applied.

Rights

No modern Creative Commons licence or Public Domain Mark is attributed to the library: its item record does not state one.
