Summary
Description
Denderah. A sand-covered Egyptian temple façade with six columns, sculpted faces on the capitals, carved panels, broken stonework and small figures. The column faces, roof rubble, slope, foreground stones and figures match the album engraving titled The Temple of Venus at Denderah. The external plate is captioned only Denderah. The album imprint bears JACKSON; no individual identity or separate draughtsman/engraver role is assigned from that surname here.
From The British Museum. Egyptian Antiquities, volume I (London: Charles Knight, 1832), the unnumbered plate after printed p.58, canvas 73. The physical title page, canvas9, prints MDCCCXXXII; the preceding page, canvas72, prints 58. This is a matching early publication witness; the first appearance and the physical carrier used for the scrapbook cutting are not established. The BSB natural-colour access image has fewer pixels than the previously examined monochrome Google witness; a larger increase in detail is not claimed.
Compared directly with H. P. Blavatsky’s Scrapbooks, volume4, page14, item3. The album image, printed album caption, handwriting, notes and transcription remain separate witnesses and are not altered.

Lossless 90-degree counterclockwise transpose, then crop (75, 105)–(1760, 1120) in the upright image. One bicubic alignment correction of 1.032163 degrees counterclockwise, measured from the robust bottom of long printed picture-frame rule. Final trim (24, 24)–(1661, 991); right and bottom bounds are exclusive. No added canvas is included. Both the complete printed frame and Denderah caption are retained. Brown paper and minor scan artefacts remain. Original paper colour, marks, folds, show-through and scan artefacts remain. No enlargement, colour or tonal correction, sharpening, retouching or reconstruction was applied. PNG compression is lossless; the decoded source is JPG.
