Illustrated masthead of The Medium and Daybreak. Matching historical illustration for H. P. Blavatsky's Scrapbooks, volume 10, page 105, item 1. The seated bearded man and woman, table, books, advancing draped figures, rays and title ribbons form the same recurring engraved masthead in page 105, item 1 and page 106, item 1. This sharper scan is from 14 November 1879; page 105's clipping is dated 17 October 1879. The common illustration and permanent lettering are retained; the issue-specific dateline is outside this crop. This is a later matching impression for the October occurrence, not its exact physical newspaper copy. The artist or engraver is not established.
