Summary

Description

A Warning, Punch, or The London Charivari, volume 83, 7 October 1882, printed page 165. The four figures correspond exactly to HPB-SB-14-66, image item 4: the two slender officers, their exaggerated corpulent counterparts, uniforms and headwear, the central dividing flourish, ground hatching and BANQUET paper. The original captions identify Sir Garnet and Sir Beauchamp before and after a series of welcome-home banquets. This source crop retains the printed title and both captions missing from the album clipping. The artist's monogram is retained without an unsupported expansion. The album itself is unchanged.
