Add or edit an article about a literary work

This form creates or edits a general dictionary entry about a literary work using {{CTD literature}}. Separate editions and translations may have their own pages; link them in the publications and translations fields. Use «CTD periodical» for periodicals.

Page names:

  • For a work with a known author, use Surname I. I. - Work title, for example Blavatsky H. P. - The Secret Doctrine. Use only established names and initials.
  • If the author is unknown, use Work title without an author prefix.
  • Use Latin letters, digits, spaces and the punctuation .,-() in the page name. Omit other punctuation or replace it with these characters. Preserve the complete title, including its original punctuation, in the title field inside the entry.
  • Widely known works without an individual author, such as the Bible and the Bhagavad Gita, do not need an author prefix. Do not put a collection's editor in the page name; for example, use Five Years of Theosophy.
  • Check for an existing entry before creating a new page.
