Summary
Description
Mount Yonah, as seen from Clarksville, Georgia, Edward King, The Great South: A Record of Journeys (Hartford, Connecticut: American Publishing Company, 1875), printed page 521. The mountain skyline, clouds, foreground buildings, fence, figures, foliage and engraved hatching match HPB-SB-3-91, image item 3, captioned in the album Mount Yonah—From Clarksville.
This is a matching later book printing of the same composition, not proof of the physical carrier of the album clipping. The book title credits J. Wells Champney's original sketches generally; that is not an independent attribution of this individual illustration or an identification of its engraver. The complete book caption is retained, including its cross-reference “[Page 522.]”. The illustration is physically printed on page 521; the reference points to the accompanying text on the next page. The album itself remains unchanged.

File and processing
Lossless RGB PNG, 1568 × 961 pixels. The native camera image was first transposed 90° clockwise without interpolation, from 4368 × 2912 to 2912 × 4368 pixels. It was then rotated 1.2585636808574112° clockwise using BICUBIC interpolation, expanded canvas 3008 × 4432, at unchanged scale. Final crop in that canvas: (801,963)–(2369,1924), right and bottom exclusive. Caption baseline after correction differs from horizontal by approximately 0.021°. The final crop is wholly supported by original page pixels; no empty rotation corners or fill are included. Original perspective is otherwise retained.
Source, album and final crop personally compared 5 November 2026. Whole composition and printed caption retained. No enlargement, sharpening, contrast or colour adjustment, retouching, colourization or reconstruction. Natural warm paper and minor camera moiré/colour speckling remain. The original has no ICC profile; none was invented. The complete transpose/rotation/crop was independently reproduced from the original pixels.
