Summary
Description
Diagram with the letters A–G, two x marks and a star, accompanying George Wyld, M.D., Man as a Spirit; and Spiritual Phenomena as Produced by the Spirits of the Living, in The Spiritualist, vol. XI, no. 24 (whole no. 277), 14 December 1877, printed p. 285 (PDF page 11 of 16). The article begins on printed p. 283 (PDF page 9), where its title and author are printed.
Matches H. P. Blavatsky's Scrapbooks, volume 4, page 112, item 1: the star above G, order and forms of A–G, interrupted vertical stroke at C, horizontal strokes and two x marks agree. The adjacent introductory and explanatory prose also matches. Wyld presents this as a simplification of a diagram used by his late friend Mr. Dove; this is a textual acknowledgement, not a separately established artist or engraver credit. No physical-copy identity or first-publication priority is claimed. The historical argument belongs to the source article.

File and processing
Lossless grayscale PNG, 610 × 670 pixels. The embedded source page image is 2715 × 3929 pixels, 1-bit DeviceGray, JBIG2Decode, inside page 11's Form XObject. It was decoded directly at its intrinsic dimensions with PDFium, without applying the page transform or OCR text layer; the resulting grayscale bitmap retains the binary scan's black/white pixels. It is not an enlarged 300-dpi rendering. The scan does not preserve the natural colour of the paper.
One 0.543625506-degree clockwise bicubic rotation on the complete decoded source canvas without expansion, measured from 356 inlier centre points of the horizontal crossbar, excluding the central C. Crop (440, 450)–(1050, 1120), right and bottom exclusive. The entire diagram, all letters, both x marks, star and original incidental marks are retained; surrounding prose is outside the crop and remains in the linked full issue. Source-supported-area mask minimum255 and independent pixel replay were checked. No added canvas, enlargement, tonal adjustment, sharpening, retouching or reconstruction.
