Summary
Description
Egypt - The Pyramids, captioned Рис. 12. Египетъ.—Пирамиды. in P. P. Gnedich, История искусств, third edition, volume I, Saint Petersburg: A. F. Marks, [1907], printed p. 11, fig. 12. Printed signatures ALEXANDRE DE BAR and PANNEMAKER are retained; no unverified first name is supplied for Pannemaker.
Later partial reprint of the illustration on HPB-SB-1-141: the pyramids, caravan, tents, palms, rocks and their engraved details match the upper part of the album cutting. The album contains additional lower foreground with walking figures absent from this 1907 reprint. This file reproduces the complete figure as printed in the book, not the complete larger album composition. The surrounding pasted articles and handwritten notes belong to the album and are not attributed to this book. The original periodical carrier and earliest publication of the album illustration remain unestablished.
