This “body”, which is no body either objective or subjective, but ''Buddhi, ''the Spiritual Soul, is so called because it is the direct cause of the Sushupti condition, leading to the ''Turya ''state, the highest state of ''Samadhi''. It is called ''Karanopadhi'', “the basis of the Cause”, by the Târaka Raja Yogis; and in the Vedânta system it corresponds to both the ''Vignânamaya ''and ''Anandamaya Kosha'', the latter coming next to Atma, and therefore being the vehicle of the universal Spirit. Buddhi alone could not be called a “Causal Body ”, but becomes so in conjunction with Manas, the incarnating Entity or EGO [[Category: CTD info from Theosophical Glossary]]<span style="color: grey; font-size: 90%; font-style: italic;"> (<span style="font-style: italic; border-bottom:1px dotted gray; cursor:help;" title="'Theosophical Glossary' by H. Cerberus, the three‐headed canine monster, which was supposed to watch at the threshold of Hades, came to the Greeks and Romans from Egypt. It was the monster, half‐dog and half‐hippopotamus, that guarded the gates of Amenti. The mother of Cerberus was Echidna — a being, half‐woman, half‐serpent, much honoured in Etruria. Both the Egyptian and the Greek Cerberus are symbols of Kâmaloka and its uncouth monsters, the cast‐off shells of mortals [[Category: CTD info from Theosophical Glossary]]<span style="color: grey; font-size: 90%; font-style: italic;"> (<span style="font-style: italic; border-bottom:1px dotted gray; cursor:help;" title="'Theosophical Glossary' by H.
