Chadayatana
(Sk.)
Lit., the six dwellings or gates in man for the reception of sensations; thus, on the physical plane, the eyes, nose, ear, tongue, body (or touch) and mind, as a product of the physical brain and on the mental plane (esoterically), spiritual sight, smell, hearing, taste, touch and perception, the whole synthesized by the Buddhi‐atmic element. Chadâyatana is one of the 12 Nidânas, which form the chain of incessant causation and effect (TG).
