Editor's notes
- ↑ The Theosophical Society by unknown author, Arya, The (Lahore), Lahore, May 1882, p. 49. This editorial note responds to a hostile account in The Philosophic Inquirer of April 16 and rejects its description of the Arya Samaj as “shattered and torn by factions.” It states that Swami Dayanand remained welcome to discuss the disputed points with the Theosophists.
- ↑ The Arya Samaj by unknown author, Arya, The (Lahore), Lahore, May 1882, pp. 49–50. The note argues that the Arya Samaj is a society rather than a sect and discusses its Vedic basis, admission of members from different religions, karma, rebirth and the Aryas’ conception of God. It continues on scrapbook page 146, which preserves printed p. 50.
