Editor's notes

  1. ↑ Address to Col. Olcott by Theosophical Hindoos by unknown author (signed as V. VEERARAGAVA IYER), Hindu Reformer and Politician, The, v. 1, No. 5, May 1882, pp. 197–198. The article recounts a reception for Olcott at the Hindu College Hall in Tinnevelly and continues on printed p. 198, where it ends with Iyer's signature, place and authorial date. The isolated A. SANKARIAH line immediately below the issue masthead is treated as publication matter rather than an article byline because the text itself is signed by Iyer.
