was French orientalist, writer and traveller, who translated Manusmriti (Laws of Manu) into French.
The bibliography lists La Bible dans l’Inde (1869; English translation, The Bible in India, 1870) and Les Fils de Dieu (Paris editions of 1873, 1875 and 1882). (BCW 2:532).
