Published anonymously at Frankfurt and Leipzig in 1784 under the designation “An unknown of the Quadrilateral Light”. A Martinist connection is suggested. F. Hartmann presented translated and condensed extracts in The Theosophist in April, June and July 1884. (BCW editors, BCW 14:62) The Bavarian State Library copy catalogued in Google Books attributes the 1784 edition to J. F. Kleuker.
