(22 March 1863 − 30 September 1933)
His Apollonius of Tyana was published by the Theosophical Publishing Society in London and Benares in 1901; a second edition appeared through University Books in New York in 1966. (BCW 3:515).
The bibliography lists his studies of the Sibyl and Sibylline literature, Pistis Sophia and Did Jesus Live 100 B.C.?, with articles published in The Theosophical Review (BCW 8:468).
Omitted the Lucifer commentaries from his 1896 book translation of Pistis Sophia. B. de Zirkoff reports an intended separate volume of commentaries; J. M. Watkins found no corresponding manuscript among his papers. (B. de Zirkoff, BCW 8:238-239)
As secretary of the Blavatsky Lodge, he explained in the November 1889 Lucifer that publication of the Transactions was delayed because the shorthand reports required rewriting and final revision by H. P. Blavatsky. (B. de Zirkoff, BCW 10:299)
In summer 1889 H. P. Blavatsky summoned him to Jersey to read The Voice of the Silence. (B. de Zirkoff, BCW 11:xxv, BCW 11:483)
