The bull Mnevis, the Son of Ptah, and the symbol of the Sun‐god Ra, as Apis was supposed to be Osiris in the sacred bull‐form. His abode was at Heliopolis, the City of the Sun. He was black and carried on his horns the sacred uræus and disk (TG).
