Avatamsaka-Sûtra. The third section of the Tibetan Kanjur; a collection including a number of works with individual titles. The two works of the collection known to Western scholars are Gandavyûha and Bhadrachari. The Avatamsaka was closely associated with the Yogâchâra School founded by Aryasamgha, and was especially important in China.
