Hinayana. The “ Smaller Vehicle”; a Scripture and a School of the Northern Buddhists, opposed to the Mahayana, “the Greater Vehicle”, in Tibet. Both schools are mystical. (See Mahayana.) Also in exoteric superstition the lowest form of transmigration.
