Quotes:Voordalak
H. P. Blavatsky
Voordalak. A vampire; a corpse informed by its lower principles, and maintaining a kind of semi‐life in itself by raising itself during the night from the grave, fascinating its living victims and sucking out their blood. Roumanians, Moldavians, Servians, and all the Slavonian tribes dwelling in the Balkans, and also the Tchechs (Bohemians), Moravians, and others, firmly believe in the existence of such ghosts and dread them accordingly.
