{{Style P-No indent|ported at 5-30. {{Style S-Small capitals|p. m.}}, local time. Mr. Sinnett, the author of the ''Occult World'', took the chair. As this was the last anniversary to be celebrated in Bombay, a number of the Branches throughout India and Ceylon sent representatives to show to the Bombay public how far and wide the influence of the Society had extended. The delegates of the following Branches were present:—}}

(1) The Adhi Bhoutic Bhratru Theosophical Society of Berhampore, Bengal; (2) The Prayag Theosophical Society of Allahabad; (3) The Rohilcund Theosophical Society of Bareilly; (4) The Rewah Theosophical Society of Baroda; (5) The Tinnevelly Theosophical Society; (6) The Bhagulpur Theosophical Society; (7) The Chohan Theosophical Society of Cawnpore; (8) The Kishnaghur Theosophical Society; (9) The Theosophical Societies of Ceylon; (10) The Saorashtr Theosophical Society of Bhavnagar; (11) The Poona Theosophical Society; (12) The Lahore Theosophical Society; (13) The Bombay Theosophical Society; (14) The Bengal Theosophical Society of Calcutta; (15) The Madras Theosophical Society; (16) The Simla Eclectic Theosophical Society; (17) The Krishna Theosophical Society of Guntur; (18) The Satya Marga Theosophical Society of Lucknow; (19) The Himalayan Theosophical Society.

All around the Hall, we are informed, were hung thirty-nine shields representing the Society’s Branches in India and Ceylon alone. A glance at them showed to the spectators that all corners of India and Ceylon were included in the area embraced by those shields. The speeches of some of the Delegates were very interesting, especially of Babu Norendro Nath Sen (Editor of the Indian Mirror), the Secretary of the Branch Theosophical Society at Calcutta; M. R. Ry. S. Ramaswamier Avergal {{Style S-Small capitals|b. a.}}, of Tinnevelly; Pandit Gopi Nath, Editor of the Mittra Vilasa at Lahore, who spoke in Hindi, &c, &c. Norendro Babu’s speech can never be too highly praised—so very interesting and instructive it was. We regret the space at our disposal does not permit us to speak at length, but we look with great anxiety for the report to be issued by the Society, containing all the proceedings. We only conclude with the remark that the meeting was, we hear, a decided success, and look forward to the day of the arrival of the Founders of the Society at Madras. We are informed besides, they will leave Bombay on the 17th Instant and arrive here on the 19th of this month, on which day we feel sure most of our Madrasee Brothers and friends will welcome them to this town. It is a matter of great pleasure to find that their removal to this part of the country is due only to the great success which has attended their operations.

{{Style S-Small capitals|The}} head-quarters of the Theosophical Society will be removed from next month from Bombay to Madras. The rapid progress of Theosophy in Eastern India necessitates, we are told, their removal to a more central position.

<center>The 18th December 1882.</center>
{{Style S-Small capitals|We}} have had quieter times here since the Theosophic farewell meet. The Theosophists have gone, not however without leaving their traces behind. Misjudged in many cases on their arrival, deceived by friends in many cases, and wearied out by the struggles of so long to rouse public interest to as adequate extent, the founders have gone to Madras. I think they will fare better there.
