(Aram)
The god worshipped by the Jews along with other Semites, as the “Ruler of men”; Dionysos—the Sun; whence Jehovah Nissi, or Iao‐Nisi, the same as Dio‐ nysos or Jove of Nyssa. (See Isis Unveil. II. 526.) (TG).
