Patanjali
Patanjali
(Sk.)
The founder of the Yoga philosophy. The date assigned to him by the Orientalists is 200 B.C.; and by the Occultists nearer to 700 than 600 B.C. At any rate he was a contemporary of Pânini. (TG).

The bibliography surveys editions and translations of the Yoga Sutras, including those associated with Tookaram Tatya (1882 and 1885), William Q. Judge and James H. Connelly (1889), Manilal N. Dvivedi (1890), and James H. Woods (1914). (BCW 2:539).

De Zirkoff lists the Yoga Sutra under his name and refers to Collected Writings, volume V, pages 368-369. (BCW 3:517).
