The Vedic name for the Mûlaprakriti of the Vedantists; the abstract aspect of Parabrahman, though both unmanifested and unknowable. In the Vedas Âditi is the “Mother‐Goddess”, her terrestrial symbol being infinite and shoreless space. (TG).
