She was the main source of Theosophical teachings and discussed the major themes of Theosophy in many articles and several major works, including Isis Unveiled, The Secret Doctrine, The Key to Theosophy, and The Voice of the Silence. She was co-founder of The Theosophical Society.

The bibliography lists the first draft of The Secret Doctrine (1886), its posthumous third volume (1897), The Key to Theosophy (1889), and From the Caves and Jungles of Hindostan (BCW 10:413).

In July 1877 H. P. Blavatsky and H. S. Olcott helped a group of thirteen stranded Arabs return to their homeland (B. de Zirkoff, BCW 1:lxi).

B. de Zirkoff proposes two interpretations of the first element in the pseudonym Radda-Bai: Rādhā, the name of Krishna’s beloved, or rāddha, “accomplished” or “initiated.” He tentatively connects the signature Sanjna, used for Karmic Visions, with the Buddhist term saṃjñā, perception.
