Council of Lateran, Fourth
Council held in 1215. The bibliography cites its first capitulum through Carl Joseph von Hefele’s history of church councils. (BCW 7:366). Its first constitution speaks of God’s creation of the spiritual and corporeal worlds and of humanity as combining spirit and body; B. de Zirkoff identifies this as the text behind H. P. Blavatsky’s reference to its teaching. (B. de Zirkoff, BCW 7:28)
