Sextus Pompeius Festus

Roman lexicographer whose twenty-book glossary abridged the lost work of Verrius Flaccus. The surviving text was itself abridged by Paul the Deacon; Zirkoff cites W. M. Lindsay’s edition. (BCW 7:370-371).
