Gebhard family

German family closely connected with the early Theosophical Society. Gustav and Mary Gebhard’s home in Elberfeld hosted the foundation of the Germania Theosophical Society on 27 July 1884 and visits by H. P. Blavatsky in 1884 and 1886; their sons also participated in the movement. (BCW 6:434-436).
