<Untitled> (Letter from J. W. Bouton to HPB)
,Oct 11th 1877
Dear Madame B.
I have just received a stunning letter from the Lyman C. Draper of the Wisconsin Hist[orical] Society in which occurs this passage. –
"Mr. Hoisington writes me that he has read his copy (Isis) and he is greatly pleased with it, explaining to him as an Egyptologist a good many things heretofore mysteries and [illegible]." This Mr. Hoisington is a blind lecturer on Archeaology, Egyptology and has spent years in study of the subject and to be able to teach him something seems as an honor of which you may be justly proud.
Make as few corrections as you can for the second Ed[ition] and let me have your marked copy at once
J'oblige[2]
[illegible]
