Adolf Hilgenfeld

German Protestant theologian of the Tübingen school (1823-1907), a professor at Jena. He edited the Zeitschrift für wissenschaftliche Theologie from 1858 and wrote on the Gospels, extra-canonical texts and early Christian heresies. (BCW 6:438).
