Johnston, Vera Vladimirovna

Made the first English translation of From the Caves and Jungles of Hindostan, published in 1892; it was incomplete and covered only part of the first section. (B. de Zirkoff, BCW 3:82) Daughter of V. P. de Zhelihovsky and niece of H. P. Blavatsky; married C. Johnston in London in August 1888. That autumn the couple travelled to India with H. S. Olcott.
