Indian physician educated at the Woman’s Medical College of Pennsylvania. Travelled to America for medical study in 1883 and qualified as a physician in 1886.
Indian woman physician who obtained her medical degree in Philadelphia in 1886 and was appointed to medical work at Kolhapur; she was friendly with the founders of the Theosophical Society and died in 1887.  (BCW 4:653-654).
