Edward, Viscount Kingsborough King

(English: Edward King, Viscount Kingsborough or Lord Kingsborough)

(16 November 1795 − 27 February 1873)

Antiquarian (1795-1837) who financed and edited Antiquities of Mexico with Agostino Aglio. The work reproduced ancient Mexican manuscripts and paintings; Kingsborough argued for an Israelite origin of Mexican civilization. The costly publication left him heavily indebted. (BCW 2:533).
