Pramada Dasa Mitra
A Sanskrit scholar and translator associated with the Anglo-Sanskrit College at Benares. He helped translate the Sahitya-darpana into English. His contributions to The Theosophist discussed Brahma, Iswara and Maya. “Brahma, Iswara, and Maya” appeared in the first issue of The Theosophist (1879). His account drew objections from a contributor signing “Vara Guru”; H. P. Blavatsky supplied an editorial comment and introduced his reply. (B. de Zirkoff, BCW 2:216)
