(1823–1890)

A Buddhist monk and public speaker in Ceylon. He participated in the Panadura debates of 1873. His correspondence with H. P. Blavatsky and H. S. Olcott helped establish their contact with the Buddhist community of Ceylon. He was an early member of the Theosophical Society.
