James Cowles Prichard

English physician and ethnologist (1786-1848), an advocate of the common origin of humanity. Studied Celtic languages and their Indo-European affinities; his principal works include The Eastern Origin of the Celtic Nations and Researches into the Physical History of Mankind. (BCW 5:379).
