Humphrey Prideaux

English churchman and Oriental scholar (1648-1724), Hebrew lecturer at Christ Church, Oxford, and Dean of Norwich. His principal work was The Old and New Testament Connected in the History of the Jews (1716).  (BCW 3:518).
