Rebus
St Petersburg weekly edited by Victor Pribitkov. Initially a paper of riddles, it became an organ of Spiritualism and mediumism in Russia; de Zirkoff notes important holdings in the New York Public Library. (BCW 6:451).

In January 1886 it published a Russian version of “The Cave of the Echoes” which differs from the English text. Attribution of the translation to H. P. Blavatsky is tentative, not established (B. de Zirkoff, BCW 1:338).

Published H. P. Blavatsky’s letter to its editor V. Pribitkov in no. 37 of 1885. An English translation appeared in Theosophia in November–December 1948. (B. de Zirkoff, BCW 6:406-407)
