Patience Edensor Sinnett
(1844–1908)
English Theosophist and wife of Alfred Percy Sinnett. She joined the Theosophical Society in December 1879 and was closely acquainted with H. P. Blavatsky. Her diaries provided material for her husband’s accounts of the early Theosophical movement.
Her second child was stillborn in England on 14 July 1881. She returned to India on 10 January 1882, when A. P. Sinnett travelled to Bombay to meet her. (B. de Zirkoff, BCW 3:xxv,xxvii)
