Dr. Henry Slade
Dr. Henry Slade
(English: Henry Slade)
American medium principally known in connection with his slate-writing, familiar to mediumistic circles in Michigan as early as 1860; came to prominence through his selection by the Blavatsky-Olcott committee. Considerable testimony exists in corroboration of the genuineness of Slade's mediumistic phenomena, including from Alfred Russel Wallace, Sir Edward W. Cox, Professor Zöllner and, among Russian witnesses, Grand Duke Constantine, Professor Butlerov and A. N. Aksakov. (BCW 1:524-525).

For information on Slade, de Zirkoff refers readers to Collected Writings, volume I, page 525. (BCW 3:530).

The appendix refers to his biographical sketch elsewhere in the collected writings. (BCW 4:665).
