White Lotus Day

Instituted by H. S. Olcott’s Executive Order of 17 April 1892 to commemorate H. P. Blavatsky. Olcott proposed the name; the order referred to her will of 31 January 1885 and provided recommendations for the annual observance. (B. de Zirkoff, BCW 6:322-324)
