I have just received a stunning letter from {{Style S-HPB SB. HPB crossed out|the}} Lyman C. Draper of the Wisconsin Hist[orical] Society in which occurs this passage. –
 
"Mr. Hoisington writes me that he has read his copy (Isis) and he is greatly pleased with it, explaining to him as an Egyptologist a good many things heretofore mysteries and {{Style S-Lost|[illegible]}}." This Mr. Hoisington is a blind lecturer on Archeaology, Egyptology and has spent years in study of  the subject and to be able to teach him something seems as an honor of which you may be justly proud.
 
Make as few corrections as you can for the second Ed[ition] and let me have your marked copy at once
